And so more and more information filters out from the district about their largest money sinkhole.

Since most departments are not expected to turn a profit, they’re limited to a specific yearly budget.

The report that Transportation is $50 million in the red can only mean one thing.

Here folks, is where the real grand jury criticism of  “inconceivable level of incompetence” in management hits the nail squarely on the head.

It has overspent the assigned budget by that much.

I would hope that’s not in one year, but considering district mismanagement and unaccountability, the idea is not at all inconceivable.

$50 million is nothing to sneeze at.

District management needs to put two and two together.

$50 million already down the sinkhole.

More than $1 million in missing assets.

Management that plays by its own rules hiring friends and family.

Management that harasses workers

Management that blows off Board member requests for information.

Management that refuses to use the electronic time and attendance system while their employees fill out time cards in pencil.

And now not one, but two successive Superintendents have permitted these people to continue what amounts to outright thievery of taxpayer funds for years on end.

“Inconceivable level of incompetence”

Here’s the bad news:

Donnie Carter, part of the gang of incompetents, is not going to lift a finger to stop it, likely making it three Superintendents.

Definitely a “Conceivable level of incompetence”

Somebody needs to step up to the plate and stop the bleeding of money.
